Many people now have a huge collection of gadgets in their homes, including Smartphones, laptops,  tablets, digital cameras and more. We are constantly discarding our old gadgets to buy the latest versions, but that means that there are a lot of gadgets being thrown out and ending up in landfill sites. To avoid your old gadgets going to landfill, here are five things that you can do with them instead.
sell gadgets for money

1. Give Them Away

One of the best things that you can do with your old gadgets is to simply give them away to people who will carry on using them. Ask your friends and family members if they will use your old Smartphone or camera, and if they say that they will then you can just give it to them for free. That way you’ll be saving them some money as well as avoiding throwing any of your old items in the rubbish.

2. Sell Them on eBay

eBay is a fantastic place to sell any old gadgets that you no longer use. List your items on the site and set up an auction so that people can bid on them. If you have a Smartphone that is only a year or two old, you may actually be able to make some good money this way, but anything is a bonus and you know that you will be selling it to someone who will make good use of it.

3. Recycle Them

There are many places where you can now send your old gadgets like Smartphones to be recycled. These devices often contain valuable materials that can be used again in new devices, so by donating your old phones and computers you can ensure that they do not end up in landfill sites.

4. Sell them To a Specialist Buyer

It’s easy to find specialist websites that buy old gadgets and pay cash for them. People who want to sell MacBook Pro laptops or any other gadgets can simply send them to these websites and receive cash for them, which they can then put towards other items. This is one of the most straightforward ways to sell old gadgets because you don’t even have to find a buyer.

5. Donate them to the Charity

Another option is to donate your old gadgets to a charity. Charities may be able to put things like laptops to good use, or they may sell them in order to raise funds, but however they use them at least you know that you are not throwing them away.

Don’t Throw Out Your Old Gadgets

It’s never a good idea to throw out your old gadgets. Even if you don’t want to use them any more, someone else could make use of them and you can help to avoid waste if your old gadgets are used again or recycled. You could even make some extra money on the side to put into your new devices, so always try to find a new home for your old gadgets rather than throwing them away.
